Managing Aliases on Your Domain Email
To add, modify, or delete an email alias, you must have administrative access on your domain email account.
Email aliases are addresses that are not connected to an account. They cannot be logged into, and there is no storage area on the email server associated with the address. They are incredibly useful tools that allow administrators to quickly set up an email address that needs to forward to multiple people, but not use up any storage space.
Creating an Email Alias
- Once logged into your domain email (log in here), click on the Domain Settings icon in the top menu bar. This looks like a gear with a globe to the side
- On the left-hand menu options, select Accounts
- Click the Aliases tab
- Click the New button

- Fill in the Name which is the everything that will display before the @ symbol
- Add in a Display Name if you would like to also enable alias users to send from this alias. Otherwise, you may leave this blank
- Enter in what Email Addresses should have emails sent to this alias forwarded to them. Please enter one per line
- If you would like to allow users to reply to an email from the alias account, turn on Allow alias users to send from this alias. Please note that in order to use this function, recipients must manually change their Send From address to the alias email address on new emails and replies
- Click Save

Updating an Email Alias
You may need to update who an email alias sends to from time to time. This is most often the case when board members change out and the board@ email address needs to be updated.
- Once logged into your domain email (log in here), click on the Domain Settings icon in the top menu bar. This looks like a gear with a globe to the side
- On the left-hand menu options, select Accounts
- Click the Aliases tab
- Double click the email alias you would like to update

- Remove any old email addresses and enter any new addresses. Remember to only add one email address per line
- Click Save

Deleting an Email Alias
- Once logged into your domain email (log in here), click on the Domain Settings icon in the top menu bar. This looks like a gear with a globe to the side
- On the left-hand menu options, select Accounts
- Click the Aliases tab
- Select the box next to the alias you would like to remove
- Click the Delete button

- Confirm you would like to permanently remove this alias by clicking Delete
