How to Start the Site Retirement or Transfer Process

This article will show you how to initiate the site retirement or transfer process. You must provide ComWeb with 30 days’ notice prior to the shutdown. The retirement process will put the website in shutdown mode on the day after the last day specified. After 90 days, the site and all its content will be permanently deleted. You must transfer all your content from the site prior to the retirement date. You may set the last day of service to be 30 days or more in the future. You will be invoiced for service up to and including the final day.

Navigation:

Login to your site > Welcome > Site Admin > Retire/Transfer Site

How to Start the Site Retirement Process:



  1. Click the Welcome drop-down menu
  2. Click Site Admin
  3. Click Retire/Transfer Site

  4. Select that you would like to Shutdown the Site and click Continue

  5. Complete the form on the next page
  6. Click Submit

How to Start the Site Transfer Process:

  1. Click the Welcome drop-down menu 
  2. Click Site Admin 
  3. Click Retire/Transfer Site
  4. Select that you would like to Transfer the Site to Another Owner and click Continue
  5. Complete the form on the next page 
  6. Click Submit 
  7. ComWeb will contact the new administrator to begin the site migration process
